SOUPLANTATION VOLUNTEERS

The Souplantation management and employees go out of their way on a daily basis to work with our group in order to make the prevention of waste and the distribution of this food to needy people possible.  That is why it is imperative for all of us Helping Hearts Volunteers to also work with their staff in order to keep their working environment as safe and smoothly running as it was before we all began to collect food daily from their establishments.

Please use careful consideration and respectfully abide by the following rules that have been specifically created by the Souplantation Management Team for all Helping Hearts Volunteers:

(1.) Be on time.  All Helping Hearts volunteers must congregate outside of the restaurant until everyone working that particular shift has arrived.  This way, all volunteers will enter the building simultaneously as one group.  Further, punctuality is imperative as we do not want to cause the restaurant management and staff to incur any inconvenience or overtime on our behalf.

(2.) Remember your badge.  It is important for all volunteers to have their badges on prior to entering the Souplantation.  Perhaps it will be easiest to remember to wear your badge if it is stored in your vehicle between your collection and delivery shifts.

(3.) Once inside of the restaurant, DO NOT OPEN ANY DOOR FOR ANYONE.  If anyone persists on coming in, even after you have told them that the Souplantation is closed, get an employee or manager to handle the situation.  Even if the person(s) outside says that they are there to do some kind work for the Souplantation, it is imperative that the Souplantation staff uses their discretion only to determine who should be let into the restaurant after normal operating hours.

(4.) Oftentimes, you will see customers exiting the restaurant through the main entrance of the Souplantation after it has closed.  Whenever you notice this, please be sure to make sure both doors have locked shut behind them.

(5.) When our Helping Hearts crew leaves the restaurant (again, together as one group), please make sure that one volunteer checks to make sure that the door has locked shut behind the group.

Please know that if any of the above rules are disregarded by Helping Hearts Volunteers, it can potentially jeopardize our entire program and our group’s relationship with the restaurant(s) and the entire Souplantation chain.

Thank you for all of your time and cooperation, fellow Helping Hearts!  :o)
